This was my week from hell. Went to doctors with chest pains. They gave me an ECG which they said looked ok but were worried about a pulmonary embolism because it hurt when I breathed. Was sent straight up the hospital where I spent the day on a ward with other patients all at least 30 years older than me, who'd had suspected heart attacks.
They did another ECG, took about an armful of blood, did a chest xray and said I was all clear. Left there still with chest pain, none the wiser really, but a huge stash of painkillers and the knowledge that my heart and lungs are fighting fit.
Oh poor you! I had something similar five years back, the chest pains were put down to costochondritis. The pains are excrutiating and I still suffer now, but I also got the heart 'all clear'. Did the hospital suggest this to you?
