Are you ready for the cough and cold season?


It's that time of the year again when we are struck down with coughs and colds. Kids mixing at school, standing on crowded commuter trains and sharing air-conditioned offices means they can spread like wild-fire, but a few simple preventative measures can help keep you and your family protected.

Hygiene and hand-washing is vital to prevent the spread of germs.

  1. I don't know if it makes any difference in regards to colds but I'm a firm believer in not reaching for the medicine. Great post - put to bed some of those myths.

  3. I am old skool 'drink plenty of fluids' type of cold tackler.
    And I didn't mean that in a rude way too either you dirty mare ;)

  4. A really funny folklore myth I learnt when I was living in Italy for any poor soul who woke with a bad cold was "you slept with your bum out of the cover" so my tip would be to cover your bottom when you sleep at night :)

  7. There is that age old saying "feed a cold and starve the flu" ..... in my book that means eat chocolate :-)
    This *may* be another of those myths .....
