Magpie Monday - Love a Duck!

I had hoped to show you my finished make-overs from last week, but I've been too busy/I ran out of paint/I had stuff to do/Strictly was on yadda yadda...

Instead, here's a little cutie I picked up this weekend for 50 pence.

My question is, what to do with it?

Sure, I could use it as a letter rack, or maybe even a toast rack, but there's got to be a more creative use for it.  I just can't think of it right now.

Have you found any second-hand treasure lately?

  1. Love those ducks!I would not have hesitated to but them!
They could have photos put in them and changed around each day - wish lists - things to do - gratitude lists - the lists is endless ;-)

  2. Whoops, that would be 'buy them', not 'but them'!

  3. Ahh that's a lovely idea Lynne, I like the thought of photos. I'm not really a 'list' person, but OH is obsessive about making lists - maybe I should gift it to him?! x

  4. Hello Ducky! I think it might be a folded paper napkin holder for buffets but then I might just be quackers (sorry!) xxx

    1. Haha! Or maybe a holder for my pancakes when we have crispy duck? Or is that too close to the bone?

  5. Eeeee, that is SO CUTE! I love it!
I don't know how far apart your toes are but maybe it could work as one of those seperators for when you paint your toenails- way classier than those nasty foam numbers!
    :D

  6. Love the ducks! Can't think of any better uses for them than the ones mentioned. Like the photo idea, or favourite cards maybe? Coming up to christmas? I could do with a rack for all the kid's party invitations! Lucky things x

  8. Nice find. my thought was attempt to hang it on the wall and use it to hang light things (tea towels, apron) from it in the kitchen? Depends on how strong it is I guess

  9. Quackers but in a fabulous way. Love this. No creative ideas but do put it somewhere prominent as it deserves to be seen.

  10. Adorable find :) I am in need of a cute mail rack right now, so I would totally use it for that, but everyone has has come up with some great alternate uses!

  12. I vote for letter rack! Ask people to send you nice letters - it's a bit of a forgotten art :)
