Magpie Monday - leave your keys

A day out last week in a new town proved most fruitful with lots of new charity shops to explore.

I came away laden with clothes; feather cushions; fabric; kilner jars and quite possibly my best ever charity shop find.

For ages I've been looking for something to put on the dresser to store our keys.  They are forever getting chucked down, abandoned all over the place, cluttering up the worktops and inevitably getting lost.

So this is just perfect.  Somewhere to keep our keys nice and safe, and we'll always know where they are.  I wonder what the mother-in-law will make of it?

Personally, I think it's bright and cheery and I love the positive optimism of the thumbs up.  Best value for money ever as it only cost me 45p.

Please do leave your links below of any second-hand finds, and I'll check right back just as soon as I've watered my pampas grass in the front garden.

  21. That is amazing! I think it's possibly to do with this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Vaughan_%28comedian%29 (the bit about catchphrases) because I remember older relatives doing the thumbs up/down/swinging/dodgy thing - although they could have been part of the pampas grass brigade, heaven forbid!

  28. This gave me a giggle! If I were to have something like that, my MIL would be horrified. We already have a disastrous relationship so I think that would be the icing on the proverbial cake. Although....I would do it just to see the look on her face ;) .
