Fat Face have a fantastic competition running at the moment over on their Facebook page. All you need to do is post a photo of yourself or your family enjoying some free time. It can be whatever you enjoy doing: chilling out; going for a picnic; playing sport...whatever.
Oh how I wish being a parent was a 9-5 job! Still, when I do finally get some time to myself here's what I like to do.
Dress: Brooke Global Leaves Maxi from Fat Face. Pumps: Karo Stripe Trainers from Fat Face |
Yes, after bath time, putting Ruby back to bed for the 38th time, clearing up after dinner, feeding the dog, putting the laundry on etc etc who doesn't need a large glass of wine?!!
The dress from Fat Face is super cool - even though it's fully lined. Totally unrestricted attire to relax in. The pumps are comfy and look great with anything - this is definitely an outfit for enjoying life outside the 9-5 in.
If you upload a photo and enter their competition, you could be the winner of the grand prize of a weekend of a lifetime. This includes hire of a retro camper van, a stay in a vintage Airstream caravan, windsurfing lessons and £500 Fat Face vouchers. How cool?? There are also weekly prizes available.
I've entered, so why don't you?
As an added bonus, if you leave a comment here telling me what your favourite pastime outside of the 9-5 is, you could be picked as a winner here too. Fat Face have kindly given me a £100 gift card to give away to one of you lovely lot.
So, just leave me a comment telling me how you relax, and remember to leave a method of contact.
For an extra entry please tweet: "See @missielizzieb's comp to win £100 Fat Face voucher http://ow.ly/cu0RL & check out their #lifeoutside9to5 http://ow.ly/cu0qi" and leave a comment to say you have done so.
UK entries only. Entries must be received here by midnight on 19th August (same closing date for Fat Face's Facebook competition). Winner will be drawn at random.

A long soak in a candle lit bath with a huge glass of wine :O) BLISS!! @mummy_loves xx
ReplyDeleteI (not very often) relax by coming away from the computer and actually reading a book - simple pleasures!
ReplyDeleteI tweeted too as @mummy_loves xx
ReplyDeleteMy perfect way to relax is getting out on the water for an evening sail but time doesn't allow such luxury very often these days (if only as we moved away from the sea :( ) Instead an evening swim at my local pool works wonders!
ReplyDeletethat dress is gorgeous! I relax much like you - with a glass of wine in hand and if it's still sunny then outside in the peace and quiet or if it's winter then with a good book! @iheartmuthahood
ReplyDeleteI've tweeted @goriami
ReplyDeleteI like to get out for a walk with my dogs or have a bubble bath with a book in hand ... so many nice ways to relax it's hard to choose!

ReplyDeleteI relax outside the 9-5 by reading a book once the Little Misses are asleep. There are no stroppy 2yo demands, or tantrums or requests for juice/chocolate/things they can't have. No fighting, no refereeing, no reprimanding. Just a few uninterrupted pages that whisk me to another world. Heaven.
ReplyDeleteI relax outside the 9-5 by chatting to friends on facebook and reading!
ReplyDeleteThankyou for the fab competition!

ReplyDeleteI relax with a good book. :)
ReplyDeleteTweeting as liveotherwise.
ReplyDeleteReading is my way of totally relaxing. I've always had the ability to completely shut out the world when I pick up a book, which is quite handy as we've recently added two kittens to the family who run circuits around the house for hours!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is lovely by the way, I had forgotten how fab Fat Face can be

ReplyDeleteLove the dress! With a 1 year old and a 3 year old I don't get as much "me" time as I'd like! But when I do get some relax time, I like to curl up with a book and a hot chocolate! Lately (well, twice) I've been able to escape to a zumba class!

ReplyDeleteI love eating a really fancy meal - and drinking lots of wine with it!!! @superluckydi
ReplyDeleteThere's not enough time in the day to get everything done AND relax! If I get some free time in the evenings when I'm not knee deep in washing, ironing etc. I like reading blogs and keeping my own up-to-date. A glass of cider can be fun too but feels exceedingly naughty, especially on a 'school night'. Recently, I forced myself to take some 'me' time and I had a long soak in the bathtub which felt divine - must do that more often!
ReplyDeleteOh, and my twitter ID is @Chez_Mummy
DeleteI know this sounds geeky but I relax by going to my allotment. I usually go at about half 6 in the evening leaving OH to put the Small Ones to bed. It's lovely taking my frustrations of the day out on weeds :) @pipersky1

ReplyDeleteI know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I love relaxing by treading the boards with my local musical theatre group! I'm actually rehearsing for Titanic: The Musical at the moment. Nothing better than blasting out show tunes into a summer evening! (Or at least, I think so!)
