A sundial, but no sun. I love the lichen.
This is a lovely picture. Where is it?
Thanks Anna. It's in the churchyard next to DD's nursery. I was having a quiet moment wandering round there the other morning while I was waiting for her to finish! x
No time being told there then! Where is the sun goddamit?? Lol Is it on the ground? X
I love the lichen too, and I love sundials. They always make me yearn for a simpler way of life. Lovely photo x
They are great but I never could work one out - could you tell the time on it?
Amazing what we had to use before clocks!
I had a bird table like a sundial, I love them. Shame about the hiding sun though!
I love sun dials! That's a great pic!
That's the problem with cloudy days, you never know when you are!Good job these never caught on, can you imagine them on your wrist? Every time you adjust your hair you'd spike your eyes out!
I love the patterns in the verdigris. The lichen seems in keeping with it!
There's something lovely about sun dials. Great shot x
I can't remember the last time I saw a sum dial. Lovely shot.
I have a thing about sundials. I know I keep saying that about things you mention on your blog but it is true
ooh I love this. I've always been fascinated by sundials. This is stunning. x
