Win an adventure in the forest

It's no secret that we love spending time in the woods, and we're always looking for more fun ideas and ways to enjoy our time there.  That's why I'm so excited that The Forestry Commission has teamed up with Visit England, and partners Go-Ape; Forest Holidays and Camping in the Forest to promote family summer holidays in and around England's woodland.

It's such a budget-friendly way to fill the summer days, and now we are looking into staying the night too so we can wake up in the heart of the forest and have a whole day of adventures to look forward to.

Camping in the Forest offers a cost effective way for the family to enjoy a holiday in the countryside, and Forest Holidays offer all the comforts of home in the heart of the woods.

The Guardian newspaper have been promoting this campaign, but if you've missed the last 2 weekend supplements, don't worry you can get all the information online on their interactive micro-site .  Check it out to plan your summer activities and enter to win your own forest holiday.

Disclosure: We are official Forestry Commission Reviewers and receive an annual Discovery Pass in exchange for sharing reviews and news.

  5. We really ought to do this as we spent quiet a bit on a tent that would fit the whole family in. Thank you for sharing this.

  6. Do you know, these past few days I have been looking at a bell tent. There is something wrong with me perhaps, but I am so into the idea of camping right now. At home would be even nicer! :)

  7. Every child should spend a night in the forest - quite a few adults would benefit too!

  9. Shhh *whispers* I have never been camping. Is there somewhere to charge your phone and do they have WiFi trees? ;)

    1. I know what you mean Carolin, I get a bit twitchy without my social media fix, but 3G is pretty much everywhere and you could always get one of those solar or wind-up phone chargers!

  10. We're yet to take our two camping, but we're talking more and more about doing so soon. Maybe I just need to book somewhere and make it happen? As fellow forest lovers I'd love the idea of camping there. I may have to investigate further. Thanks for the tips! x
