As regular readers will know, we love to camp. It can be a great budget way to take family holidays and last-minute weekend getaways but it can be expensive at the outset to get started and buy all the equipment.

For seasoned campers, or those spending more than just an overnight away, you'll want to think about an electric fridge to keep your milk and BBQ food safe and chilled. I know these can cost a fortune because we've looked into them, but this one from Aldi at £39.99 is great value. ReplyDeleteI had no idea what a nation of campers Germany was until we moved here. They do some fantastic seasonal stuff. The ski stuff is great in winter, and the camping gear is excellent. The "ALDI has camping gear in stock" email does the rounds two weeks before our kids go on their school residential trips here! :D

ReplyDeleteAldi is our favourite place to shop. The food quality and variety is great. I love not having to shop in what has become an Aircarft hanger size shop. If Aldi go down the route of bigger bigger and bigger still it will be a flippin shame as I will stop shopping with them. I think other giant supermarkets have really lost the plot now

ReplyDeleteWe love camping and have been going since the youngest was one, hurray for travel cots! We did have a bit of a disaster on our last trip though when the eldest jumped up and down on our airbed until it broke :( Not his own one, obviously!! Will have to nip along to Aldi's and get one of theirs!
